The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is an iconic vehicle, but which Cadillac Escalade is right for you? Getting everything you desire in this large, luxurious SUV will require you to get familiar with the 2021 Cadillac Escalade trim levels, so we’ve laid out everything you need to know below. Our Escalade trim comparison covers all five of your options in detail.
Cadillac Escalade Trim Differences
The range of 2021 Cadillac trim levels is split into two small lineups, and both build upon the base-level Escalade Luxury trim. At the next step up you have the Escalade Premium Luxury and the Escalade Sport. Then, if you’re looking for a little something extra for your interior, you can move up to the Escalade Premium Luxury Platinum or the Escalade Sport Platinum.
While none of these models will disappoint, only one will feel just right for your needs. Take a closer look at the distinguishing features of each option:
Escalade Luxury
The base-level Cadillac Escalade trim level has a starting MSRP of $76,195. It comes equipped with each of the following features as standard:

All Cadillac Escalade trim levels can be had with an Extended Wheelbase for an additional $3,000. Upgrading from rear-wheel drive to four-wheel drive will also add $3,000 to the total price, regardless of which trim you select.
Escalade Premium Luxury
You can move up to the Cadillac Escalade Premium Luxury configuration for a starting MSRP of $82,995. It includes all of the features that come standard on the Luxury model, plus:
- Full-color Head-Up display
- Ventilated front seats
- 22 inch 14-spoke alloy wheels with polished finish
- Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist

- Rear Camera Mirror with remote wash
The safety features mentioned above all come standard at this level, too. You’ll also receive the Driver Awareness Plus package, which includes Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning.
At this trim level, your options include the Driver Assist Tech Package. This group offers adaptive air suspension, adaptive cruise control, and more, for a total price of $3,650. There’s also the Performance Package, which we’ve detailed below. A few extra options, including the covetable Super Cruise advanced driving assist system, become available if you add both packages to this trim.
Escalade Sport
The Escalade Sport has a starting MSRP of $85,595. It includes all Luxury and Premium Luxury standard features, along with each of the following:
- Performance Package, including a Limited-Slip Differential, Magnetic Ride Control, and the Trailering Integration Package.
- 22 inch 12-spoke polished alloy wheels with dark android finish
- Gloss black front fascia trim, window trim, roof rack, bodyside molding, liftgate trim, running boards, and exhaust bezel
If you’re concerned with Escalade trim level differences, keep in mind that the Sport and the Premium Luxury models have a lot in common. Although the Sport trim includes the Performance Package as standard and has unique exterior styling, all of the options we mentioned above carry over to this configuration.
Escalade Premium Luxury Platinum
The Escalade Premium Luxury Platinum builds upon the features of the Premium Luxury trim level. For its starting MSRP of $99,995, you’ll receive:
- Full Semi-Aniline leather seats
- Leather-wrapped interior trim
- Unique Platinum Galvano grille
- AKG Studio Reference 36-speaker sound system
- 16-way power driver and front-passenger heated and ventilated seats with lumbar and massage function
- Driver Assist Tech Package
- Rear Seat Entertainment system with dual independent 12.6-inch diagonal infotainment displays
- 22 inch 10-spoke polished alloy wheels with dark android finish and laser etching
Escalade Sport Platinum
If you’re looking for a more aggressively styled alternative that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of luxury or quality, the Escalade Sport Platinum deserves your full consideration. It builds on the features of the Sport trim, and has a starting MSRP of $99,995. For this higher price tag, you’ll receive:
- Full Semi-Aniline leather seats
- Leather-wrapped interior trim
- 16-way power driver and front-passenger heated and ventilated seats with lumbar and massage function
- AKG Studio Reference 36-speaker sound system

You’ve probably noticed that the Sport Platinum and the Premium Luxury Platinum trim levels carry many of the same features. In fact, the only real differences between these Cadillac Escalade trim levels has to do with their design features and exterior styling.
